I OWN A SIGN SHOP.
THEN SOMETHING ELSE HAPPENED.
Long Island Sign Guy started with signs. It grew into a way for me to tell the stories of the Island I have lived and worked on my entire life.

Long Island has always been home.
I was born and raised on Long Island, built businesses here and eventually found my way into the sign industry after spending much of my career as an entrepreneur in internet and technology businesses.
Signs of Long Island became the operating business. Long Island Sign Guy became the public face of something broader.
A sign business put me on the road.
Running a sign company means spending a lot of time inside Long Island businesses, walking commercial districts, visiting towns, looking at buildings, talking to owners and seeing places most people pass without thinking much about them.
That gave me a different view of Long Island. I started making videos about signs and businesses, but the questions kept getting bigger: Why is this road here? Who built that place? What happened on this property? Who is the person behind that business? Why does Long Island work the way it does?
The stories became the brand.
Today, Long Island Sign Guy is where I tell those stories: local history, unusual places, businesses, people, questions about how the Island developed, and occasionally a sign project that gives me an excuse to walk into another interesting story.
I am not trying to build a generic local news company with a newsroom full of creators. Long Island Sign Guy is my point of view and my curiosity. The fact that I also own a sign company is not something I am trying to hide from the media brand. It is part of what makes the perspective different.
The two businesses reinforce each other.
Someone can find me because they watched a Long Island history video and later need a storefront sign. A sign customer can introduce me to a business with a story worth telling. A new business opening can become a Coming Soon video, an installation story and a grand-opening feature.
That connection is now intentional. Signs of Long Island remains the sign company. Long Island Sign Guy is the marketing and media arm built around me, the Long Island audience and the stories I want to tell.
What comes next.
This site is becoming the permanent home for the best of that work: a searchable collection of Long Island stories, a place for businesses to understand how I can help launch them, and a way for brands, event organizers and media outlets to work with me directly.
The subject stays Long Island. There are more than enough stories here to keep me busy.
